From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

When the Accounts window opens, click on New.

If the below window appears, make sure that POP is selected, and then click on Assist Me.

NOTE: Depending upon your software, the window below may or may not appear. If it does not, continue to the next step.

Enter in the E-mail address supplied to you by PortalMedia, click on the right arrow to continue.

Skip this screen and continue by clicking on the right arrow.

Enter the account information on this screen.

• Under Your Name, enter in your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing e-mail.
• The e-mail address should already be filled in from the previous screen.
• Change the Account ID to match that which was supplied to you by PortalMedia, and enter in your password.
• Enter in mail.portalmedia.com for the Incoming Mail Server, make sure that POP is selected, and also enter mail.portalmedia.com for the Outgoing Mail Server. Click on the right arrow to continue.

Skip this screen without verifying your settings by clicking on the right arrow.

Enter in a simple description for the Account Name (see example below). Instead of clicking on 'Finish', click on the button Configure Account Manually.

A window will open with all of the account information you previously entered. At the bottom of this window, underneath the 'SMTP Server' click on Click here for advanced sending options.

In the window that appears, check the box SMTP server requires authentication, and make sure that Use same settings as receiving mail server is selected. Click on the small box in the upper-right corner to close this window, and then click on OK to close the window. Close the Accounts window.
